My daughter handed me a drawing of a NeeDoh Nice Cube. She wanted me to make it 100% edible from scratch AND she wanted to squish it when we were done! I didn't think that this episode of "She Draws It. I Cook It." Would get so messy. We take a viral squishy fidget toy and turn it into a real, crystal clear gummy cube with a round, red core. This has to be food art at its finest and the best part is, you can easily make it at home with your family. Watch the full process and see if the final product held up enough to be squished. Check out this video where I made an edible NeeDoh Nice Cube with a purple center: https://youtu.be/505Uu7tls6w Bloom Gelatin (Let Bloom for 10 minutes): 4 tablespoons of Gelatin 1/2 cup of cold water Boil this separately (only bring to a boil and dissolve sugar): 1/2 cup of sugar 1/2 of water Add the hot water and sugar mixture to the bloomed gelatin and stir with a spoon. You will need to do this process twice. Once for the inner, colored mold and once again for the outer colorless mold. When preparing the outer mold only fill it about an inch or so and put it in the fridge for about an hour. When creating the inner mold I mixed about 1 teaspoon of oleoresin carmine in the Gelatin mixture after combining the hot and cold mixture together. Create your inner mold using whatever mold shape and color you like. Put that in the refrigerator and let it set. Remove the colored inner mold and place it inside the outer mold and fill the rest up with the remaining colorless gelatin.
